What is the Emirati project?

The Emirati project offers an inclusive, secure, and seamless digital platform that provides various government services across different sectors. Citizens can access these services through the DubaiNow mobile application on their smartphones, which has undergone upgrades over the years to improve its functionality. The first phase of the project has already been launched, with 131 services available on the platform, and two dozen more planned for introduction in the current month. The second phase is scheduled to launch in the first quarter of 2023.

What services are available?

The government has announced that the starting phase of the project will allow citizens to access various services through the digital ID, including housing and construction grants, social benefits, Al Furjan events, Esaad cards for public sector workers, electricity, and water services, among others. Many entities, including the Community Development Authority, the Dubai Land Department, and the Police General Command, have already added services or are working on adding more services to the platform.

The Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has directed the Digital Dubai Authority to work with various government ministries, departments, and agencies to add more services to the platform before the end of the year. He believes that by enhancing Dubai’s digital transformation, the city’s digital economy will further consolidate and help raise the wellbeing of all UAE citizens.
